Tour Details

Meet your private guide or driver at your downtown Xi’an hotel lobby in the morning, then depart for theTerracotta Warriors or ditectly head to Panda Base according to your booking option.

Distinct Look
Nicknamed “cat-bears” for their cat-like agility, they boast pale fur marked with a U-shaped black chest patch (Sichuan pandas have V-shaped markings). With round faces, plump cheeks, short snouts and flat nose bridges, they appear smaller and cuter. Adult Qinling pandas weigh 5–10 kg less than their Sichuan counterparts, making them more agile for Qinling’s mountainous landscape. The world’s only brown panda, Qizai, resides here.
Powerful Cold Resistance
Adapted to Qinling’s frigid winters and abundant bamboo, they feed on arrow bamboo and Bashania fargesii, mostly eating bamboo stalks in winter. Their thick fur lets them stay active at temperatures as low as -10°C.
High Conservation Value
They reproduce slowly in the wild, and captive breeding demands habitats matching Qinling’s natural environment, rendering every individual vital to panda protection.
Spend 2–3 hours freely exploring the reserve. Aside from giant pandas, you may see golden takins, crested ibises, golden snub-nosed monkeys and other rare endemic species.

After the visit, your guide and driver will transfer you straight back to your downtown hotel.
