Tour Details

Whether you commence your tour from a Beijing city hotel or the airport, after being picked up, you'll make use of the convenient fast - track entry. Then, stroll through the vast square with your tour guide. You'll behold iconic buildings around the square, such as Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People, the National Museum, the Front Gates, and the Old Beijing Railway Station. On the way to the Forbidden City, you'll pass by the Gate of Heavenly Peace and Duanmen Gate. Then, enter the Forbidden City through the imposing Meridian Gate. For over 500 years, this imperial palace served as the political and ritual epicenter of China. Since its completion in 1420, it has been the residence of 24 emperors, their families, and servants during the Ming and Qing dynasties. 

Spend 1.5 hours wandering through its grand halls, serene courtyards, and enchanting gardens. Your guide, well - versed in Chinese history, culture, and architecture, will share their insights in an engaging and personable way. Don't hesitate to ask any questions that come to mind.


Next, you'll journey to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. 

During the 1.5 - hour drive, your guide will unfold the related historical tales. Stop at a local restaurant to savor an authentic countryside - style lunch. 

Once you arrive at Mutianyu, follow your guide to take either the cable car or ski lift up the Wall, saving you precious time. Marvel at this world - renowned man - made wonder, hike along with your guide to explore various watchtowers, and ascend a tower to discover how military signals were relayed in bygone days. Capture as many memorable photos as you wish. After a 1.5 - hour hike, you can descend via the ski lift, cable car, or the exciting toboggan (note that its service might be suspended if it rains). 

Finally, you'll be transferred back to your hotel or the airport in Beijing.
