In the early morning, at precisely 9:00 am or 8:30am, your professional driver and knowledgeable guide will greet you at your Chengdu hotel. They will then accompany you on a journey to Mount Qingcheng, a drive that spans approximately 80 minutes and covers a distance of 65 kilometers.

Upon arrival at Mount Qingcheng, we will commence our exploration. This majestic mountain is divided into two distinct sections: the Front Mountain and the Back Mountain. The Front Mountain constitutes the core of the Mount Qingcheng Scenic Area, spanning around 15 square kilometers. In contrast, the Back Mountain sprawls over about 100 square kilometers. With its crystal - clear streams, lush woods, and imposing peaks, the Back Mountain exudes an irresistible charm. During winter, Mount Qingcheng is cloaked in a cold embrace, while in summer, it transforms into a haven of coolness, widely regarded as an ideal summer retreat by numerous visitors.

As we wander through the mountain, particularly in the Front Mountain area, we will encounter a plethora of cultural relics and historical sites, all set against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty. Key attractions in the Front Mountain include the Natural Drawing, Jianfu Palace, Tianshi Cave, Chaoyang Cave, and Shangqing Palace, among others. In the Back Mountain, the Golden Cliff and Sky Storehouse, Goddess Cave, Clouds Caves, and View of Platform Bridge await to captivate your senses.

Subsequently, we will make our way to the Dujiangyan Ancient Irrigation System, a short 30 - minute drive away. Approximately 2,200 years ago, Chengdu was frequently menaced by floods stemming from the overflowing Minjiang River. In response, Li Bing, a local official of the Shu state, in collaboration with his son, resolved to construct an irrigation system on the river to mitigate the flood threat. After extensive research and years of arduous labor by the local populace, the magnificent Dujiangyan Irrigation Project was successfully completed. To this day, this age - old project continues to play a pivotal role in flood control, agricultural irrigation, and supplying water resources to over 50 cities across Sichuan province.
