Tour Details

Meet your guide and driver in the lobby of your downtown hotel at the requested time, and then embark on your exciting sightseeing tour.

 

First, visit the famous Yu Yuan Garden and Bazaar. Yu Yuan Garden, built in 1559, is the largest and most well - known of Shanghai's historic gardens. The bazaar is a market filled with numerous small shops and vendors selling souvenirs, handicrafts, folk arts, and packaged snacks.

Next, head to the Jade Buddha Temple, constructed in the Qing Dynasty. It is one of Shanghai's most renowned Buddhist temples. There are two jade Buddha statues (one sitting and one reclining) that were imported to Shanghai from Burma across the sea. Admire the mesmerizing architecture in the temple while your guide explains its construction history and background stories.

 

After a lunch of Shanghai's local Shengjian dumplings, visit the Shanghai Tower for a bird's - eye view of the city. It is the tallest building in China and the second - tallest in the world.

In the late afternoon, stroll along the French Concession and the Bund. At the end of the day - long tour, your guide and driver will take you back to the hotel. Alternatively, you can choose to stay in the Bund area for an evening of free exploration.
