Tour Details

At 7:00 - 7:30 a.m., the driver/guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby and drive you to the Dujiangyan Panda Base. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. 

At 9:00 a.m., you will start your daily project. Your experience will involve working closely with panda keepers and the pandas in their enclosures. 

In the morning, your main duties will be to clean the panda enclosures and prepare fresh bamboo for the pandas. 

At noon, you'll have lunch (buffet). From 13:00 to 14:30, you'll watch a movie to learn more about giant pandas, make panda cakes for them, expand your knowledge of these incredible animals by learning from experts, and receive a certificate acknowledging your work as a panda volunteer. 

At 15:30, the project ends, and then you'll drive back to Chengdu.

Your Attention Please

  • An additional fee will be charged if you choose to participate in the project at the Wolong Panda Base instead of the Dujiangyan Panda Base, which occurs when the Dujiangyan Panda Base is fully booked.

  • The trip we've arranged is in cooperation with the Dujiangyan/Wolong Panda Base. Travelers who plan to join the trip, please thoroughly understand the conditions that we'll send to you.

  • Even after we've accepted your application to arrange the trip and confirmed the itinerary, it's still subject to change in case of natural disasters, government - ordered cancellations, or other unpredictable factors. In case of an emergency, we'll explain the changes after making them.
